The Senate jumped ahead of the House on Tuesday and gave final approval to the 2018 farm bill with an 87-13 vote. A hearing on the bill before the House Rules Committee on Tuesday afternoon was delayed, which could push the final House vote back a day.
March corn was up 1 3/4 cents, January soybeans were up 7 1/4 cents, and March KC wheat was up 4 1/2 cents.
Limited early activity is expected as traders slowly return to the market following Tuesday's market shift. This is likely to bring a combination of short-covering and spillover buying, keeping prices mixed.
