Contract Types
Basis Contracts – If you do a basis contract you are locking in the basis, guaranteeing a home for your bushels, but leaving the futures unpriced. You would do this if you want to play the market because you think the price may be going up, or you just want to make sure you have a home for your corn. Futures only contract – In a futures contract you are locking in the Chicago futures price but leaving the basis open, The reason you would do this type of contract is because you think there may be a fight for bushels in the upcoming months so basis has a potential for improving. A $0.05 service fee is assesed for this contract type.Flat Contracts – In a flat contract you are locking in both the futures price as well as the Basis Price. Premium Plus Contract – In a Premium Plus Contract you are selling bushels, picking up a premium by selling a call with the potential secondary obligation. Are you are Interested in adding even more to your contract price? We offer Premium Plus contracts with a potential corn second obligation. These can add 10-30 cents to our corn cash prices...call for details!! Other Specialty contracts - Stop into the office and Mike, Adam or Nick would be happy to discuss all of the options avalible. Corn checks are normally issued each Tuesday and Thursday. There may be exceptions for holidays.
Deadline to request advances, changes to tickets or special payment instructions is 8:30 AM on these payment days so that we can have checks printed and ready for pick-up by 2:00 pm. Requests after 8:30 AM will process for the next settlement day.Direct Deposit Available. Complete and return this form to the Caro office.
